Wow, it's been a while

Ruminators  . . . I've been busy and that's a poor excuse.  Spring is here and I hope to have things of interest to show you.
Like yesterday, blizzards in one part of the state that had highs in the high 80's the day before, apocalyptic wildfires that scorched 400,000 acres in south central Kansas and Oklahoma, and tornado watches in the NE part of the state.
Saying that we had March Winds yesterday was an understatement. Hard sustained winds with gusts in the 40s and 50s pushed a wildfire from Oklahoma into Kansas.
At one point I thought radar was showing rain moving into the area until I noticed the clouds looked brown?  Last pic is not mine, but was floating around from Medicine Lodge.

The sky was on fire







































Huge fires down in New Mexico/Arizona are adding to the hazy hot skyline.  Took these pictures through a glass with antireflective tint and also used a UV filter.

Did a little computer post editing, but thought it came out ok.
