Wow, it's been a while

Ruminators  . . . I've been busy and that's a poor excuse.  Spring is here and I hope to have things of interest to show you.
Like yesterday, blizzards in one part of the state that had highs in the high 80's the day before, apocalyptic wildfires that scorched 400,000 acres in south central Kansas and Oklahoma, and tornado watches in the NE part of the state.
Saying that we had March Winds yesterday was an understatement. Hard sustained winds with gusts in the 40s and 50s pushed a wildfire from Oklahoma into Kansas.
At one point I thought radar was showing rain moving into the area until I noticed the clouds looked brown?  Last pic is not mine, but was floating around from Medicine Lodge.

It's been a slow weather season around Oz but rain and a little thunder is expected this weekend.  Until then, something in the night sky that used to bring the downfall of kings and nations . . .

I've never seen a high area this large. The weathermen are freaking out. I'm starting to sweat a little while chomping at the bit.
And here I go waxing poetic at the doom to follow.
