Zoo, a Very Warm Day in Late December.

This Winter has luckily not been too harsh.  Last Saturday, after a week of ice and snow on the ground, temps elevated into the 50's and provided some much needed snow melt and a chance to get out.

More zoo

One can only take so many shots of snow before eventual snow blindness sets in.  With the younglings in full cabin fever mode, we headed out to a largely quiet Sedgwick County Zoo.  Certain animals seemed happy to see us.

All's Quiet

Down time.

The Sedgwick Co Zoo is one of the nation's top 10 zoos.  When the weather is nice, I like to take my kids and camera.  Here are some of my favorite photos, and no, the animals don't pose for you.

Koi, Carp, and the occasional brave duck.

People tell me I'm crazy and sick, when I tell them to dress your kids in pinks, reds, and orange.  It will attract the predators.
